I have a doe tag and will be there.  What is the best road to start up for does?  I ate the buck tag in 2009 but gave it a good try.  Will prob head up mud creek as a starting point.

Dreamin- You're going to have plenty of options with a doe tag in hand, enjoy the hunt and don't rush it. Mud is a great start but anywhere will hold plenty of does for you!
Shut up and Hunt!

Drew it in 07 and shot my buck opening day by 10 with no snow. Biggest 4x5 of my life. Can be tough. Lots of country and can be hard to sneak. Have fun and enjoy hunt ;)

I will most likely be tagging along with JBar and filming his hunt and being the pack mule. I'm excited just to tag along.

None of the fires have effected the entiat winter range....yet.  Could be an epic year.

Yeah, I'm betting the Indians are salivating.

The fire of 94 created a lot of open country but a lot of trees were planted; now the deer have a little more cover; not quite so easy.
The Mills Canyon fire was south of the Entiat River and did not burn in the Entiat GMU 247.  The Swakane GMU 250 deer and sheep might not be real happy when the arrive in the winter range to find that it burned.
The Duncan fire burning now will probably just burn from the Wilderness boundary down to the Shady Pass road in the  Slide Ridge unit GMU 246.

No recent large scale fires in the Entiat late archery hunt unit.
Have fun and take a great buck.

I have a doe tag for late archery.  Anyone willing to pm me if you have some canyons/ridges to check out?  I have one day to fill me tag.  Have a few spots circled as starting points.

I drew that tag a few years ago with 1 point. Steep area and be patient. For the doe tag just drive around for a morning if ya want or just pick a trail and sit.
