Need a salmon recipe!

So I love to fish and I like to eat salmon but my wife really isn't a fan. She really wants to like it due to the health benefits, cost effectiveness, etc... So what I need from the great people here is a recipe that will minimize the fish taste. The "fishiness" is what she doesn't like so if I can fix that I can hopefully get here there. Thanks guys, if anyone can help me it's you!!

Brown sugar,soy sauce, a little bourbon, salt and pepper and a cedar plank. Tastes like warm candied smoked salmon.

Tempura salmon. Which is battered and deep fried salmon.Fillet it out remove all bones and chunk it up like cod. Pick you favorite batter and fry at 375 until golden brown... Enjoy....

Get fresh fish.  Catch & keep salmon on ice right away.  Pick fresh fish when you buy it.  If you have to disguise the taste with more than some dill weed and a little salt & pepper, it's probably not very fresh.

   Fresh, fresh, fresh, did I say fresh?  Are you feeding her salmon you caught?  Out of the rivers or the salt?  River fish can be stronger tasting from my experience.

One of our favorite ways to cook salmon is similar to Kenzmad's.  For an overnight (min 6 hours) marinade, one part water to one part soy sauce, 1/3 c. brown sugar for each cup liquid, you can also add minced garlic and/or onions, and black pepper.  I sprinkle onion and garlic powder on after removing from marinade as I don't usually add anything to my soak besides the first three ingredients.    For less time soaking, I increase the amount of soy sauce compared to the water.  Then, when grilling, don't overcook it.  Ten minutes for an inch thick filet, five minutes meat side down, flip over to skin side down, finish cooking just until salmon is flakey.

My wife was not a big salmon fan when we met.  Little did I know that as I cooked fresh caught salmon for her on our first date....  She loved it, however, as she had never had fresh, fresh, fresh salmon before.

When I BBQ it I always pull the bones, as well as the skin and any of the fat. Never had the fishy taste. I like melted butter mixed with garlic and spread over the top then covered with Parmesan then lemon slices, sometimes onion slices too.

The fat and skin is were the whole benifit of the salman is.

Fresh caught, bled right away, then put on ice is sure to not have a fishy taste.

I love the Whiskey river BBQ like Kenzmad said and you cant beat it deep fried. I just dip in egg and roll in cracker meal. OHHHH SOOO GOOD!

Take a fillet, spread some pesto on top, and broil it. It only takes a few minutes and it's AWESOME!! It's my all-time 2nd favorite salmon recipe... right behind my smoked salmon chowder!

I like to make salmon nuggets. Take a fillet and skin it then cut into 1 inch chunks or bite size pieces and coat with your favorite batter and fry in an inch or so of oil in a cast iron skillet. Don't fry too long or it will dry it out.

Just depends on what type of salmon ...If I am cooking Sockeye my recipe will included brown sugar - onion- lemon and oranges ..if I am cooking Chinook I usually include honey in my recipe ...

Put salmon in foil, pour sweet vermouth over the salmon and add chucks of butter. Then sprinkle lipton onion soup mix over the salmon and put slices lemon on it and put on the bbq, cook until done.

The way I cook it cancels out the health benefits,I'm almost sure, Salt,Pepper, Onion rings,Lemon slices,Garlic and a whole stick of butter,foil bed and  foil cover ...... gas grill until it flakes.Always a hit when I do it for the guys at work or anywhere else for that matter.

I just cooked up some sockeye salmon (Costco) for friends up from Cali and it was delicious and they loved it. I modified some ingredients from a recipe I had and it worked out great. No "fishy" taste or smell.

1 tbl spoons brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder (I used blackened seasoning due to no chili powder)
2 tsp of smoked paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp course ground pepper
1 tsp sea salt

Mix all up
Spread olive oil onto fillets and then you rub mix
Cook for 20-25 minutes on cedar planks on the grill at 350*F

To complement that I made some really delicious green beans.

Fresh green string beans
1 clove of garlic chopped but not too fine
1 tsp course ground pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 lemon
3 tbl spoons Olive oil

Put everything into a ziplock bag and squeeze lemon juice in. Let soak for half hour. Then remove and wrap up in tin foil juices and all. Throw onto grill and cook with salmon.

Fresh is best and simple is always good.

lemon slices
maybe a couple green onions wrap it all up in H/tin foil and grill

Salt, pepper, garlic powder then spread real mayonaise, bake at 375 for about 30 minutes or until mayo is starting to crisp on the sides. 

You can also add slices of sweet onion on top and sides.
