Whoever said torn meniscus. You were right on.  They are calling today to schedule surgery.  The closest date they have is the 26th of this month.  With the scope doc said I should be able to get out hunting for the late archery season.

If it was not a meniscus, you would have been in a lot of pain.
Meniscus tears happen a little at a time over years. Mine was tearing over 30 years before surgery.

I believe mine was doing just that.  I just think it finally gave out.  Doc said in the mri my bone that the tear is near is stressed.  He said it was pretty lit up in the mri.  I am sure they are going to check that out.

Surgery is scheduled the 26th.  I will be in and out the same day.

I concur with others that the surgery is the easiest to bounce back from.
The stress tear happens over and over again over a period of time until it hampers your walking.
My doc said I had stress tears over a 30 year period.

Had the same surgery and my knee is as good as new.  Best advice is follow recouperation (therapy) instructions to the T.  Hope it turns out great for you.  Your next appointment is in the woods on .... what is it ... November 26th for late Archery.

Out and headed home.  Doc was pretty happy with how it went.  Couple follow ups but yeah in the woods November 26.
