Pa Elk Pics
« on: September 29, 2014, 05:08:14 PM »
Just thought I'd share some pics from the small herd of elk in my home state of Pennsylvania.  I believe there are around 70 permits given out per year, and it is close to a 100% success rate. Although these bulls are not in the 400" class, every year several are shot.  My neighbor shot one last year that scored 393".

Very cool. Those east coast herds seem to be doing well.

What's it take to get a tag?

A lot of luck. Like, more luck than it takes here. That or a bunch of $$.

A lotta luck, but I don't think this price of the tag is too bad though; I'll look into it.  The "Non Resident" hunting license isn't too bad at all...$101.

I guess I was referring to their Governor's tag.
Big $$.
