:drool:Oh wow, love the first buck, he's looking swelled up. You should have put in for the multi deer tag, that way you could have done both rifle and archery. I guess for some guys a deer isn't worth $140 .

This guy is clearly trolling you guys.  There are no deer in Mason County.  These deer were probably photographed in Gray's Harbor County and are being advertised as being Mason County bucks.

I say this because I refuse to believe that anyone living and/or hunting in Mason County would be stupid enough to post bucks like this and their locatioin on an open forum where people ask 24/7 where to hunt.  To that end, congratulations to the OP on a successful troll.  You just put another 3 dozen hunters in my back yard. :bash:

OH HELL YES!  Changing plans now.  So long NE WA where I've invested time and effort for over 20 years, making contacts and friends, killing deer regularly, and hello Mason County to start all over again in DoubleJ's backyard!

   :stirthepot:

I may be mistaken, but I think that DoubleJ's post was only partially serious...

Just so there is no misunderstanding, this post is sarcastic.   :chuckle:

I think they are good looking bucks, enjoying seeing the pics, and hope you tag one in short order! The 4th one down looks pretty big in the body and a little smaller horned. I'll take that one...decent buck to begin with.

Also, I too will be now changing my hunt plans and heading your way!  ;)

I'm not planning to come over there (unless you give permission to set up a blind in your yard). But it seems like every year the Shelton-area deer are rutting earlier than deer in almost every western GMU. Maybe Whatcom County is similarly early. I'd sure love to hunt rutting bucks during the general season, but I promise I'm not headed your way.

You got it all wrong Double J.  You need to charge $250 a head to hunt your back yard! $125 more if they want the kids to track them, gut them and drag them to the truck. I bet you could get at least 20 guys a year to sit on your deck if you post enough pictures on the web!

$250 is steep. I'd pay $225. That includes lunch, I would assume, and I will need you to set up your flat screen on the deck so I can watch the Seahawks/Rams game.

I'm sure Double J's wife could be talked into making lunch.  But if I remember right she refuses to touch meat.  So lunch will probably consist of broccoli and quinoa.  Though I do hear she makes some mean cookies! :chuckle:

Didn't you post maps and directions to clearcuts and talk about all the deer near your home?

Our buck to doe ratio is sucking right now, I've yet to see a change but I'm sure it's coming. I hunt with a big group and we've yet to see any big bucks yet. Soon!

Are these the answers you got when you asked all the questions about hunting the east side of this state? All the questions about elk hunting? All the questions about getting kids deer? I hope you aren't one of those "NOT IN MY BACKYARD" kind of guys. :bdid:
