OIL complete
«

Well I finally completed my OIL tags!!! I shoot this billy Sunday morning after spending 19 hours in a one man tent waiting for last weeks storm to break (note to younger hunters don't go cheap on hunting gear if back country hunting is your ambition) knowing I only had a small window between storms I decided it was know or never on killing a goat ( hardest animal I've ever tried to judge ) I had seen and scout dozens of billys but just never saw that true once in a lifetime goat
. I finally decide to take this billy mid day got lucky laying at the base of the cliffs in open basin
. So after skinning and packing back to base camp and the trek out I can say I was completely whipped. It was a true once in a life time hunt that I will never forget
So back to the OIL tags
1999 quilamine ram
And Selkirks 2001 moose
.
here are a few pics of camp during my little 19 hour quality alone time during storm
Then pics of the next morning
Those white spec are a group of Nannie above the lake .

Congrats on a beautiful goat. what did he measure?
Not many people in Washington have 1 let alone 3 oils.

You're one of the VERY few hunters that will ever get that opportunity to fill the OIL slate here in WA. Good work.
