PM me some contact info if your hunting! I'm on a hundred head right now. At 550 yards bedded. Cows, 4 big Bulls a few rag horns and one anemic spike.
Their up and moving , my brothers working this one with a 16" Grendel carbine in tow. When I say anemic , really mean annemic. I'm talking one runt of a spike!
Well I don't usually ask for help believe in the whole " hunt till ya find em" method, but unfortunately this year the elk arnt cooperating, I have hunted the quilomene all my life for elk and usually have good success, this year my grand father drew a cow tag, hunted the quilomene today for spikes and didn't see a single elk, seen 1 set of fresh tracks,so my question is,anyone willing to point me in the right direction for what could be my grandfathers last hunt, the cow tag is 328,329, no experience in 328, we have permission for the wind farm but hoping someone else will give us info on a couple other spots

My bro made a 396 yards shot with a 6.5 Grendel AR carbine and a 120gr Nosler ballistic tip. There was a first for him though. The elk had a arrow shaft through both nasel passages from side to side above the jaw and just in front and bellow the eyes. It was healed up and broke off on both sides. There was one MONSTER bull with them. He beat feet the second the heard was spotted. Dropped off into the Tarpiscan.
