pretty tough to find land to hunt.  It can be done but then there have to be elk on it.  We tried it a few years back, had a great time being in the field but didn't see or kill a legal elk.  Saw tons of deer and what some will say was the last bull elk before bigfoot got him.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Windmill property to hunt thru PSE and some state land. Have seen elk in there but a lot depends on snow pushing them down.

I have family with property in the area...and they don't let their nephew (me) hunt. That's how tough hunting there gets. I get to photograph the hell out of the area though...Saw a great 5x5 bull, some nice up and coming 3x mule deer and a whale of a 4x white tail rutting his brains out.
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming
