I've had my kentreks for 3 years and mine have held together pretty good. I might be able to get one more year out of them. I used the ORs before and they won't come apart but they are noisy!

I had been using OR gaiters for the past 3 or 4 years and they work great, but I wanted something a lot quieter. I had some made out of wool from day one camo out of Colorado. Well made and quiet. They have a number of materials and patterns to choose from. https://www.dayonecamouflage.com/store/products/Gaiter.html

I have been watching this post a little, something I have my eye on:

I see pretty good reviews for the price.

I have an older pair of OR's. Zip up the side with a clip at the tongue that clips right into the tongue 'D'ring of my Merril's. They aren't the new cordura of the latest OR's. Maybe a little quieter, but I don't know that that matters much in snow anyway.
