Editing my self filmed hunt
« on: January 14, 2015, 06:44:51 PM »
I'm looking for some advice, This year I made a great video killing a nice mulie. I'm not much of a software or computer guy, any ideas of how to get started turning this video into a cool professional movie with music and cool effects.. Thanks

My wife did a bunch of video editing using Imovie, but you would have to have an Apple.  She used to use Moviemaker on her pc, but Imovie was much better and easier.

If you plan on editing more videos you film I would look into premiere by Adobe or Final Cut Pro x I believe you have to have a Mac for the Final Cut Pro though.. I use Final Cut Pro x and absolutely love it!!

The stock windows one is decent enough to start, once you're ready to advance you can try some trials of the more complex ones and see what you like. I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but only because I'm getting it for free.

Cyberlink Powerdirector is a good trial to get started on the advanced, or Adobe Premiere or Premiere Pro if you really want some options.

I use Final Cut Pro and love it!! I used a PC before that and then made the switch to a Mac just for the purpose of using final cut...I have not been sorry.
