Actually I checked with my dealer after you posted that, see my edit. But still too high.

The only thing I don't like about the bunks is the trailer has to go farther in the water for launching and trailering. Other than that I really like the bunks. The plus to the trailer being farther in the water when trailering the boat is it's closer to the winch so less cranking. I took my electric winch off for that reason.

Great looking boat! Looks even better with all the free space in there right now. Sounds like you put that 30+ years of fishing and boating into a great plan. I hope you and the Mrs. are as happy with it as you plan to be. There will likely be a few more fish in your freezer this year .

I don't but I'll get one for ya! It's an open bow just like any other aluminum forward helm. Walk thru windshield and a big storage hatch with lots of storage under the floor.

It's not a wives tale,My buddy has his own gig building custom boats,He did one trailer with rollers for a sled, that has been the only trailer with rollers and coincidentally it's been the only sled out of at least 50 he's built that developed cracks in the bottom. The roller was adjacent to a drybox that was sealwelded to the inside of the bottom, hammering down the road and the isolation of movement by the web strength of the box/weld caused hairline cracks near the heat affected zone of the weld. All previous trailers were bunked, all trailers after that one were bunked as well.

I heard that the trailers with rollers weren't good for aluminum boats, dents the aluminum. Is that a wives tale, not sure. Nice ride though and nice motor too! I love my E TEC!

Even though I'm going bunk. It is a wives tale. Search roller trailers and aluminum boats and you'll see Lund, alumnacraft and many others come on roller trailers with no issues after 10 years.
Your buddy had an issue with his design and the placement of were the rollers were. Very isolated case.

Raider dosent have that option, but next winter I'll replace the wood with aluminum! Don't want that pitting wet wood causes.

For an anchor system it's going to have the 3 rivers setup with a custom 50 pound bullet I made with an insert I fab'd to have the miller marine roller for the Big C anchor. I just got it cleaned in acid like new and it's going in for colored anodizing.
