If you see any of the survey guys. Talk to them. They are the ones that do the test digs. I have good luck doing this. I do have to admit if there is a baby clam in the area I will find it.Clams don't move once they enter the sand other than to go up and down. So where the tide drops them is it. If you get a couple of big clams along a line there are going to be more.
