Since we've got a poll going for how many deer and elk points people have, I thought we needed one for moose too. I have 19 because somehow I missed one year. I hope to be down to zero in a couple weeks.

14 points.  I thought that was a decent amount until looking at this poll.  Lots of people out there with more points than me. 

I can't imagine getting in the game now and starting out at 1 point.  I'd feel like impossible odds of drawing just starting out.

I drew in 2013 and after 33 years of putting in, I deserved it!  After I got my moose, I was talking to a neighbor of the person who owned the cabin we were staying in.  He said that the year before, he ran into a woman who had just shot a moose.  He asked her how many years she had put in.  She casually replied, "Oh, this was the first year I applied," like it was no big deal.

12 for me. kinda weird though it seems no matter how hard the draw is the average points to draw are usually 10 or 11 points.

I am pretty good at getting not selected though. If anyone needs help with that just let me know.

  I have been putting in for 30 plus years and have 19 , don't know why.  drew a sheep and goat in the 70's and still hoping I have zero in a few weeks.   mike w

Splitshot, you must have missed one year. You should have 20 points this year if you've been applying since the first year of the point system, which was 1996.
