I checked last night and the backdoor still isn't open, or my luck is so bad I can't even draw an unlimited tag :dunno:

It's my first time applying to hunt Idaho this year so I applied for Smoky-Bennett unit 43,44,48. They sent me an A tag for archery yesterday. I thought I have to get drawn first then they will send the tag. Is this unit considered OTC for non-res? Or did I read the regs wrong? Either way in happy I got the tag with Wolf, cougar, beat, and deer tags. Hello Idaho!
Happy Hunting and Fishing

BIGMIKE- so you actually didn't "apply" for a tag, you just bought a general deer tag. So you also purchased wolf, cougar, and bear tags? Not sure if you know this or not, but your deer tag can also be used on any of those.

That'd be an elk tag. And I personally wouldn't use my elk tag for a bear, cougar or wolf even though it's legal. Ok, yeah, I would, for a 400# bear, a cougar at 5 yards or a wolf on the last evening of the hunt.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Just go in like you are going to buy a tag - if you drew, there will be an option to purchase your draw tag.
