There are a few open roads in kittitas county. Look for green diamonds when driving around the 1700 road system. There are maps available that show the routes on them.

The deputy supervisor said they will stay open unless he gets confirmed reports of you guys being bad.  Self policing is needed and more routes may open up in the future.

It is amazing that the sierra club and audobon society think they are the only ones that should use the roads. Their stupid philosophy is apparent at all meetings I go to.

Here is page 5   :o  Wish I could figure out how to get the 29 pages in a link  :dunno:

new WATV routes. Sierra Club brings this action on its own behalf and on behalf of its adversely
affected members. The relief requested in this lawsuit can redress Sierra Club’s and its members’
injuries.
9. This suit is brought by ALPS, Kittitas Audubon and Sierra Club on their own behalf as
well as their adversely affected members and staff. Plaintiffs and their members’ present and future
intended use of OWNF and the waters therein is and will be directly and adversely affected by the
decisions, actions, and failures to act alleged in this Complaint. Those adverse effects include, but are
not limited to: (1) disruption of their recreation experiences; (2) reduction and impairment of recreation
opportunities; (3) impacts to native plants and wildlife and their habitats within OWNF; (4) impacts to
riparian areas, wet meadows, and water quality; and (5) impaired aesthetic value of trails and other areas
caused by USFS’ mismanagement of motorized travel on OWNF lands. The ongoing injuries caused by
Defendants’ failure to follow mandatory procedures in designating and reviewing motorized travel
include, but are not limited to, increased water, noise and air pollution on OWNF lands and surrounding
environs, degradation and impairment of the Forest landscape, disruption of wildlife, destruction of
native plants, destruction of soil structure and quality, increased user conflicts, and loss of opportunities
for solitude and nature appreciation. In addition, Plaintiffs and their members have an interest in
ensuring that the Forest Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures
pertaining to the management of public lands.
10. Plaintiffs and their members use OWNF lands and the waters therein that will be
managed under the challenged decision for recreational, scientific, educational, aesthetic, and
commercial purposes and intend to continue to do so in the future. Plaintiffs and their members derive
recreational, scientific, educational, aesthetic, and commercial benefits from the OWNF lands through
fish and wildlife observation, hiking, study, photography, recreational boating and rafting,
and recreational fishing.
11. The decision at issue herein approves motorized use and activities that will significantly
degrade the natural values currently enjoyed by Plaintiffs and their members

I would be banned if I posted my thoughts on how I really feel about these tree hugging bird kissing groups. They are trying to make the forest look worse than it is now.  I wish we(hunters, fisherman, off road enthusiasts) had money to sue on the things they support :chuckle:

It's their last option....it's not going to work! USFS legal has already said they don't need the review as a review has already been done for Cars, trucks and motorcycles to be driven on these roads and ATV's would cause no more damage than the others do. That being said who knows who they might get to hear the case.

All the roads in the Okanogan are open. From what our group has found out is, the ONF lied about having done an EIS, environmental impact study, they cannot produce any documents that they did one. So all of their lies and deceit has come to bit them on the rearend.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

These commie groups are grasping at anything, to close down, any portion of any areas and can only come up with ATV's abusing OUR lands. 99% of all land abuse I've ever seen is by 4x4 trucks/jeeps. These radical groups never, ever go after those types of vehicles. These enviro groups can kiss my ....... :bash:

In many states you can drive ATV's on paved roads around town...but you can't drive on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere...what a joke the forest service lands are!
Just give me a shot is all I pray...my rifle and I will make the play!
