Is it Monday yet?

Yep, he is still driving home from my house. Got a voicemail from him about almost wiping out in an elk herd crossing highway 20.  :yike:

I take it we won't be getting the full story of the sheep hunt tonight then, huh?   :chuckle:

Really wish I could figure out some way to post my step-sisters fb post...apparently she went to the shop fridge to get a bottle of wine (or put one in there)...and when she opened the door, there was Ed's sheep head staring back!

Its being kept in there until they can get it pinned....ha, funny, as she is not a hunter!

Grade

Your mom told me about that, it cracked me up.  Unfortunately, I missed your dad this morning as I was hoping to get a pic with him.   :(

The Bio said he looked to be 8 1/2 and that with lamb tips would have been over a full curl by WDFW definition.  As is, he was recorded as 7/8 curl.  His horns were broomed at 33 1/4 and 33 3/8 inches and the bases are about 14.  That is as much as I currently have for measurements on him.

Also caught a crap load of cutthroat and got one quail and my first Chukar.  Here are some photos....

Another cool find on this trip was a NOAA weather balloon that had fallen right at the edge of the lake, in the water.  Luckily for them, some air was trapped in the balloon at the surface.

Here are some pics from the day before season, the file name should describe the photo.  The last photo was opening morning, could have shot him from the boat and picked him out of the water when he fell off the cliff....   :chuckle:

Was not thinking of on the mount, just think they are pretty birds, and part of the memory.

If I did not have an already large taxidermy bill coming up, I might have considered it for the Chukar.  My dad does wood carving so I am thinking of seeing if he will  carve one for me.  I just wish he would learn how to use an airbrush so the paint jobs would match his carving skills.   ;)

Curious as to how many different Rams you saw on your Hunt?  Great job by the way!
