If he is hunting from a tree stand, I wouldn't expect him to be all that far from his truck.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

let's hope the walk back to the truck on Friday night didn't cause him problems.

Search for missing hunter suspended due to weather
Near ROYAL CITY, Wash. (23NOV2015) – Due to incoming cold weather and snow expected tonight and Tuesday, search efforts for missing bow hunter Thomas Stieg of North Bend have been suspended until further notice.
About 100 searchers combed the area near where Stieg’s truck was found Saturday afternoon. Searchers on the ground and air searched Saturday, Sunday and today to no avail. If the weather is permissible, military aircraft from Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane may fly over the area Tuesday using infrared cameras.
After assessing weather conditions and other factors which may impact searcher safety, deployment of further search efforts will be determined by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and notice of further activities will be sent out to the public.
It has been a busy past few weeks with missing sportsman in Grant County. On Nov. 4, 65-year-old Connell resident Khampheng Soumphakdy was reported missing by his family. His unoccupied boat was found floating in Long Lake in south Grant County. It is believed Soumphakdy fell into the water. His body has not yet been found.
Follow new posts on the Grant County Sheriff’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/GrantCoSheriff/.
Sheriff Tom Jones expresses his greatest appreciation for the outpouring of support by citizens who stepped up to help search for both Stieg and Soumphakdy.

My gut keeps telling me they need to be running a flat bottom boat down crab creek and also searching the Columbia.   Thoughts are with his family.  Everyone needs to hug theirs extra tight tonight.  If he is still alive, he his fighting the battle of his life right now. :(
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Prayers, prayers and more prayers for him and his family.  This has to be so tough for them right before Thanksgiving  :(

Sad news, don't have a good feeling how this will turn out.. If he was on land the air support would have found him by now I feel like, a lot of sketchy characters in the area hope he didn't stumble onto something he shouldn't have either!

Agreed, something isn't making much sense with this story.   No matter what the cause or reason it's a troubling story. I hunt the general area a lot and alone. Makes one think about what can happen.

Praying and waiting to hear.

Me either!  Just had another fatal shooting there last week too.  Best to avoid that place!

:yeah:  Agree- hope things turn out but... have a niggling this is a more dire situation than being disoriented.

That is also a very real possibility, not exactly the best of people out that way
