I know who I am calling if I ever draw one of those tags. He knows his way around those units for sure.

We're you guys struggling to find deer since all the bucks were down, or did the hunter run out of time to hunt? Wow. With posts like that it should be obvious why photos of these deer never get posted.Exactly right, comments like this prevent the rest of us from enjoying topics about these hunts! They seem like honest questions to me.I guess I don't see anything negative in the questions that would keep someone from posting.

If it was my hunt and I was happy with the result and then some yahoo posts comments like that, I doubt I'd want to post more.Poor form.
I find it denigrating to question any hunter's choice of legal animal to harvest. Poor form indeed. One of my favorite Swakane sheep hunters killed one of the smaller rams tagged in that hunt - maybe the smallest. He had scouted quite a bit, knew what was out there, didn't care about numbers - he wanted a "pretty" bighorn ram with a smooth coat, no visible scars, and unchipped horns with intact lamb tips. He got exactly what he wanted, and could care less it was 20-30" smaller than the biggest out there. I don't know what motivates the incentive tag hunter, but to imply that he must have "settled" for the buck he chose to harvest, and to imply the only reason he chose to harvest it must have been either a) he can't find deer, or b) was time-constrained - is at least condescending. I can see why many successful hunters (even those who kill huge, high scoring, symmetrical specimens) choose not to subject their hunts to criticism and ridicule by sharing their success with internet heroes.
Assuming we aren't going to see pic's here we can at least talk about the incentive tag and what you would do with it.My guess is most of the time the winner of the incentive tag doesn't know it exists and if they do know about it have no idea what they would do with it if they ever drew it. It's not like a raffle, auction or special permit that you have to pay money for.I know if I drew it I would be super excited but wouldn't feel any pressure to shoot the biggest animal on the hill. I would probably just hunt my regular spots during a better season and take an animal that I would be happy with during the general season.I mean where would the pressure come from, it's a freebie. It sounds like there might be some pressure or expectations from people on here but what the heck, it is my tag and I will fill it however I want.
Any deer with a bow is a trophy and that is not just any deer. I would have shot that deer just so my buddies believed me when I told them I saw a 27" wide 24" tall 2x3. They would have called BS and I could have said "then put a tape on him".Nice buck, congrats.
