Big Shooter I hear you on the stock thing, I have a weatherby pepper laminate thumbhole custom. I have also have had several guns in wood they do look better I agree, but that is not a care for me I hunt spot and stock being on your belly crawling for a hundred yards is normal. A wood gun would need a restore job after one year with me, that being said my tikka out shoots any factory rifle i have ever owned including a M70 the price does not dictate accuracy sometimes. So the tikka being a POS because of the look, is like saying your car is a POS because it doesn't have a new shinny paint job but it gets you to work every day.

All you guys are right there is no better gun than a tikka.  They shoot straighter than any gun in production.  And and when you put a synthetic stock on them they will shoot one hole groups at 10 miles.  They are a superior gun.  I don't know why they are not more popular.  And for the life of me I can't figure out why they don't cost millions of dollars.  I think I am going to go out and buy ten of them before they are all bought up.  I also heard that that you can load them with dirt and rocks and they will still out shoot any gun.  I will probably start killing more and bigger deer when I start hunting with a new tikka.  I don't think that I will buy any ammo for it, i will just show it to the deer and they will fall over dead.  This gun is going to change hunting for me for the rest of my life.  I thank all of you for educating me on the superior to all guns tikka.  Do you guys put tasco scopes on these to?

Mine's a laminated stainless T3 in .300 Win Mag. with a VX3 2.5-8. New last season, killed a Mule deer buck and an Antelope with it. Couldn't be happier.

I like the site because it seems that most are educated and knowledgeable about there equipment and sport lots of good things to learn. So I'm glad when people speak out there BUTT!!, the people on the site educate them as big shooter has been. He can now when he wants to speak out his Butt!!, come with fact instead of opinion due to his new education your welcome. I'm also confused in one post he says he owns a tikka, then two post down he says he will most likely never own one?. Anyways I like debate with facts, then ones opinion will always count due to his educated view.

I know some of you are old and on Viagra.  But i never said that I have owned one.  The Viagra must be messing with your reading ability.  Or you don't have your glasses on.  Is it a fact that synthetic is better than wood or one gun is better than another?  No its an opinion.  Before you go attacking people about facts how about getting your facts straight.  If you need an education let me know I will be more than happy to educate you.  This site is starting to feel like MM more and more everyday.  But that is just my OPININON.

Is it a fact that synthetic is better than wood or one gun is better than another?

Wood feels better than quality synthetic? Opinion (mine is NO)
Wood looks better than synthetic? Opinion (mine is NO... i prefer my personal camo)
A quality synthetic stock is less prone to warping than wood? FACT
A quality synthetic stock is stronger than wood? FACT
A quality synthetic stock handles abuse better than wood? FACT

Seems to me... the only part that's opinion... is arbitrary at best. The fact is... synthetics are better, particularly in a climate like WA.

Now... quit being a dick and raining on the guy's parade, he's stoked about his upcoming purchase... we should be stoked with him. The only thing that matters... is what matters to the shooter. I'd never buy a Tikka... because I don't like plastic stuff in my action, stock, and magazine. The seperate recoil lug also bothers me because it makes bedding a chore. BUT... I've shot a couple, and they all shot like a champ... in fact, I've only shot one with a wood stock... and it wasn't as accurate as the synthetic stocked ones I shot... could be a coincidence.

Strike Hard...
Strike Fast...
No Mercy, SIR!
