2 pound western wa crappie

picked up my personal best black crappie at 2.01 on the digital scale and near 15 inches long!  :drool:

Nice!!!  I caught just shy of 4 pound white crappie in Hensley Lake CA. 35 years ago but have never even come close to a 2 pound black crappie.  Really cool fish!  Congratulations on some good eatin'!!!

Nice slab! Mounter for sur! I've seen a few sixteen inch crappie but those are coming out of Wisconsin and Minnesota, panfish heaven. Wha a nice slab, mount that fish!

haha thanks guys!! ive toyed with the idea of a wall mount as well since a replica is only 285 bucks or so... as far as my dad and friends in western wa they've never seen or caught one this big.  My heart was pounding trying to grab the net!  he would look super cool as a mount for how black he was from the spawn.  he was so thick across the back he was crazy in person.
