Guided River fishing trip reccomendation

Im getting married in July and wnnt to set up a guided fishing trip for me, my brother and my fiancé's step dad sometime in the first week of July. Was thinking the klickitat due to the desire to learn the klickitat and for a scenic relaxing trip....fish numbers are second or third priority...go figure. I know July on the klickitat is sketchy due to.the river getting blown out and we won't really be able to reschedule if that happens.
So any ideas on the best all around river experience during that time. The fiancé's tep.dad is.from Panama City Panama so he wants a relaxing scenic experience with a decent chance of catching a fish or two.

I don't know the Klick but there are a couple guides that fish it.  They are in a drift boat though so they won't be able to take your whole group.  I'd do some googling to find the guides.  For a less scenic trip but far more fishy you might consider fishing the Columbia with summer runs.  On a good day you can hook over 20 fish, lots o fun.  I know one guide I can recommend if that sounds like something you'd like to do.  Send me a PM.

I would lean toward the Columbia as well since there are three people.  Trying to keep everyone together in one boat is difficult in a drifter.  That usually calls for a second boat and guide if you want to be comfortable.  On the big river someone like Reel Adventures out of Sandy, OR could fish three in one boat with plenty of room to spare.

Now, finding a WA or OR guide to concentrate on catfish...that might be more difficult.


Most of the guys I know that say they guide for catfish...That means they will be the designated driver in Portland as you go from strip club to strip club without the wives or fiancé knowing.

If it's not too far of a drive I'd seriously look into the Snake river.  Relaxing, scenic, with plenty of fish.

That's funny....note to self:  don't post to Hunt-WA using cell phone. Should just say catching a fish or two.....not catfish. Lol

Your best bets are walleye or summer steelhead. We average 20-30 walleye a day in July. If you want to fish for summer steelhead call Ron or Clancy Holt 360- 880-0409.

Zoller outfitting.com. 509-281-0365. He can handle you group because he has a big drift boat. If the river blows out he can take you on the Columbia in his big boat. He does really well and has rowed the Klickitat for many years.
