Bloody Decks
« on: July 18, 2016, 07:08:45 PM »
Went out with Hunt WA sponsor Mark Youngblood for tuna

Mark and his deck hand did a great job of putting us on fish. I fished tuna before and learned a few new things. Most of the action was on lighter tackle ( 30 lb test) Action was fast and furious and Mark let us catch some on a Jack pole. It was exciting to see 20 to 30 pound tuna come to the surface for bait. Had quite few sharks swimming in the area and they evetually put down the tuna at our first bait stop.

I cannot say enough about his boat and client treatment.

You can see we lucked out the weather and conditions.

It was a blast and now processing 90 lbs of tuna

The tuna are big this year and we caught a few around 30 lbs. The average seemed around 22 23 lbs.

What was the name of the charter service and where did you launch out of?  Looks like fun.

We are booked for the 25th of August, and really looking foreword to it.  I have done the bigger boats in the past, and sleeping with a bunch of guys covered in tuna blood gets a little rough on the nose.

We went with Mark today and had a awesome experience also. We had two rookies on the boat and Mark and Shane the deckhand were patient with them and us and taught them how to get the fish to the boat. It was a great trip, if you want to go with him you better get signed up soon.

Thanks for the kind reviews guys....I sincerely love what I do and it was my honor to fish with each of you.. I love to tuna fish for sure but  I promise I give 100 % to all the fish that I chase year round and consider each day a blessing to be out there giving it my all!
