My 13 year old son had an opening day of hunting season that most only dream of. We began with a morning push for whitetail and did not see the right buck. To pass the time before the evening mule deer hunt we decided to take the long way home and stay out in the woods. The drive paid off with a limit of grouse and his first black bear. After whooping it up, cleaning, and getting it loaded he said, "dad, I may still get a buck today?" Thinking to myself, "ya, no one gets that lucky I smiled and said maybe." Well......he was that guy! Evening hunt finished with his first buck and first muzzy deer and one very proud dad! A day neither one of us will ever forget!
Didn't know what forum to post this crazy story on but all started with a 13 year olds muzzleloader dream.
