Good late season jacket for bow hunting

Like the title says I am looking for a good jacket to keep me warm in the late season, but still be able to move freely. I am looking to spend around 300-400 if needed. I have put layers under my Sitka 90% jacket and it's fine when moving around but sitting still for over an hour I get to cold.

This is a tough one for me as I over heat quickly when on the move/chill quickly when at rest.

If I know I will be sitting in stand for an extended period I absolutely love the Sitka Incinerator jacket (Other than cutting the hood off isn't as easy as it is on most Sitka).  I spent 10 hours in a metal stand at zero and was comfortable other than my toes.  A bit outside the budget you set though.

Late season on west side I am always on the move.  And I like to wear wool shirts over a silk weight longjon top.  Most of the time with a quality Woolrich or Penalton shirt I can get away with just a Kelvin vest.  But if the wind is biting I have started to wear the Stratus jacket more and more.  Only thing I do not like about it is it is very difficult to wear wool underneath it.  The flocking, archery style fit and wool just don't get along and you feel bound.  This year I combined it with Cabela's Polar weight PolarTech and it was about perfect.  Still a little chilled if I stopped after sweating a lot, but nothing I could not deal with.  When the snow started to fall I added a fleece vest to the Stratus and Polar LJ and it was great as long as I didn't chase too hard.

Sometimes spandex arm guards are priceless when trying to stay warm yet deadly accurate with your winter clothing.  Always, always, always practice with your late season clothing on to make sure there are no interference issues with your bow.  Last day of the season with an elk in range is never a good time to find out it's a problem.

I would say anything with down in it.  Layer underneath as well.

For me it depends on the type of hunting I will be doing. 

If I am sitting in a tree stand I will hike to my spot in just my long underwear and boots.  I will climb and get dressed in the tree stand.  I will change my sock, depending on how could it will be I add another  quality wool shirt (Firtslite, Kuiu, or Smarwool)Then I will put on my Cabelas Wooltimate coat and pants these have the Wind shear that stops the wind (this is an absolute must) the wind will wreck my day.  I keep my boots loose.

If I am on the ground hunting Elk or Mule Deer then I wear light weight wool clothes because I sweat a lot, When I stop to glass for a longtime I will put on a puffy coat.

Quality gear is the key I buy whats on sale, I am not loyal to anyone company Sitka, Kuiu, and Firstlite is what I look for

Couple options depending on the conditions that I use. 

Kelvin light weight under a 90% jacket.  Of course I still wear my base layers under both of the jackets and am able to shed layers as needed or add layers as needed.

When it is downright cold outside and not raining I wear my sitka stratus coat (I think that is the model) and it will keep you warm in the coldest of conditions.  It is not waterproof though so if it is raining I wear my rain gear with kelvin style jackets and base layers.  The key to me is lots of layers with quality material.  If I am sitting and not moving I will wear my heavy wool jacket....but It is heavy and I don't like packing it around.

Seems like every situation requires something a little different, I've been looking for a replacement jacket for about 5 years, I have an old waterfowl jacket with a very warm inner removeable jacket. I bought this for below zero waterfowl hunting and ended up using it muskox hunting and use it every winter riding snowmobile looking for cat tracks, sometimes in 20 below weather. I have to remove it to walk or it's too warm but I have not found anything as warm when I need warmth. It's about worn out so I'm also looking for another very warm jacket.

What do you guys recommend late season for sitting in a ground blind so getting wet is not an issue. I want to get a new jacket for late season and I want it to be really warm as I get cold quickly. My current jacket warm but way to loud especially on the really cold days with snow on the ground where you can hear a fly fart at 100 yards. I want something very quiet. Got busted a few times this last late season from the sound of my jacket while drawing.

Extremely warm. Made by wild things. There jackets are like 300+. High quality zipper. Grey not the greenish tint in picture. Highly recommend especially for the price. They don't skimp on filling like other jacket makers
