there's a good shop in issaquah on front street...can't remember the name of the place, but my buddy used them last year for sausage, snack sticks, etc. and had good results.
they do regular processing as well.
thats the only place i know of.

I'm doing it myself this year.  The last place I went was crazy expensive.  If you're in the area, a friend of mine had his elk done at Morton Meats.  Cost far less than my last deer two years ago...

Has anyone used Silvana Meats?

http://www.silvanameats.com

Are there others near or in Seattle that you like?

Never used Silvana, but if I remember right they want the meat deboned before they process it.

I have used DelFox off exit 300 for the last few animals, since the butcher in Arlignton closed down.

If you feel like making a drive a friend of mine does all our animals, cut, double wrapped, labeled, burger, summer sausage, breakfast sausage, jerky, pepperoni etc. He is a butcher by trade for a grocery company but has a nice setup at home to do it, and he is very reasonable. He uses the money to pay for his hunting trips, a little extra cash on the side. Like I said, a bit of a drive from Seattle but should anyone in the south end need a good butcher he is in south Puyallup area.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Have taken many animals to Linds, they were very well priced and have done excellent work.  They are closer to Covington than Kent, but worth the drive.

Silvana is definitely worth the drive.  I've never had an animal processed (do it myself) but I've taken meat in to Silvana.  Excellent stuff there.  I'm going to try Doug's in Kent next time (way closer to home).  I've bought his beef and peperoni sticks and they are awesome.  Him and his son run a first rate shop and they're real friendly.

Forgot, but I unfortunately had a real bad experience with Fischer's in Issaquah.  Eventually had to throw out a batch of pepperoni.

i took my first buck to Del Fox meets in Stanwood. www.delfoxmeats.com they seemed like a good butcher, was kind of expensive, but I don't know how that compares. I drove up before work on a monday and had it back by thursday (in season too). They were very quick, and the summer sausage was AMAZING. I think they have rates on their website.

Thanks for all the replies.

I should have made the connection before but Double D Meats is right next to the Nock Point in Montlake Terrace.  I just called them and they will grind up de-boned game.  Has anyone used them for that?  It looks like they have some great reviews for their other meats.

Also, I just called A&J Meats on Queen Anne hill and they will process any skinned game but wow are they expensive $5/lb to start!

There is a place in Ballard called Better Meats that does process any skinned game and their prices are $1.50/lb with $100 minimum but they don't do any pepperoni or spiced meats just breakfast sausage, sausage and cuts.

Jensen's Smokehouse on 105th and Greenwood does not process game and neither does Cascioppo Bros on 80th in Ballard.

I may try the Better Meats place and see what they are like but so far from other people's replies it looks like I will have to drive to an outlying city which can may be annoying given traffic, gas and their hours of operation.
