You know this happened a year and a half ago, right?

I'm no friend of the EPA, but this spill was caused by a contractor for the EPA. Do you have any information about who the contractor is and what if any penalty they've paid? That would be more pertinent information. As it is, you're posting information we've already seen posted on this site and others. New information would be beneficial. Rehashing old information is not.

Here, let me help ya' out:  Matthew Daly, Associated Press Updated 4:35 pm, Friday, January 6, 2017

The EPA said its research supports earlier statements that water quality in the affected river system has returned to pre-spill levels.

Another Obama Agency investigating itself and coming to the conclusion:  There is nothing to see here, move along.

Pman I'm pretty sure the contractor didn't want to tear out the damn and told the epa it was a bad idea.

I do believe that that has been documented.

My mother lives in the area and she actually called me when it happened last year. Hopefully the EPA gets their butt sued, mainly because they need to eat a little crow. They always come off as so high and mighty and are pretty conceited in general. They instigated this and should be held accountable. In reality this was a pretty insignificant occurance compared to what happens there every spring, but the point of the matter is that if this were someone else the EPA would rake them over the coals and gloat the whole time.

I didn't say there's nothing to see here and you just like to get all ticked off...about everything. You must be angry all the time. I can't imagine wanting to live like that.

I don't believe there's any new news here. Am I wrong about that?

Is that new news or is that old news. I'm just trying to figure out if this post has anything new to offer.  :dunno:

I hope they prosecute the number nut responsible, and gut the department. The EPA was  supposed to be the people's watchdog but instead are incompetent.

So one guy makes a mistake and then it is automatically the EPA's fault.  That's like blaming Colt for someone using their rifle to shoot up a mall.
