You can read and clear codes with the edge. Just have to pull over, put it in park and clear the code and it'll shift just fine aslong as it's full of fluid. They limp fairly easily when you start turning the power up.

It's funny because I ran on level three all the way back from close to Mexico week before pulling 2,000lbs more? A few miles on the vantage grade coming out of Connell with the little baby trailer and it pops? I'm just glad it wasn't worse

I'd be concerned with where the lost two quarts went. :twocents:

2 quarts low on an Allison is not good. They are very picky about tranny fluid level.

For a great cheap code reader, system monitor. Download the Torque pro app for $4.99 and get a Bluetooth dongle off amazon for your obd2 port for $13 and you would be amazed at what you can do!

I'd be asking the tech who did the flush in Issaquah.

You mean the transfer case pump? You can get a pump rub kit for that. Not too bad of job.

Ford steering box and some misc front end stuff. It was getting bad when loaded up. It never had a steering damper so added one too.

No kidding, if it hasn't leaked like the OP said, then where is it?

Will be asking that question soon enough, believe me...

I was warned not to take my 2007 Allison to the Chevy dealer after I took it in for a flush. I was told to take it to a tranny shop for tranny service.

I've noticed a vibration since when I'm towing around 60mph that keeps getting worse. I've checked everything from tires to u joints and bearings and I am thinking more and more it's coming from the tranny. I asked them to change the internal filter while they were flushing it because it was at 80k and they told me it didn't need it. I've changed the spin filter twice since this service and always refill with Dex VI but I think they filtered the fluid wrong during the flush. They don't replace the fluid when they flush, they just filter it and pump it back in.
