Camping meal?

Have a meal that you guys only have when you go camping? Something only eatn when going camping. Thought about starting a tradition with kids

My kids love biscuit on a stick and Dutch oven cobbler.  We do those two things every time.

Bacon wrapped grouse cooked over the camp fire on a spit.
My boys use to totally get into finding the right sticks and setting everything up, then getting the fire just right.

Scramble cooked over a fire, it has bacon, sausage links and fried potatoes cooked in bacon grease with shredded cheese over it slathered in ketchup!! You can make it at home and warm it up on the fire and it's still insanely good, especially after a cold miserable day of huntn !!

My buddy makes beer can game hens on the fire that are just spectacular.  I've tried them at home on the grill and they are just not the same.  I made chicken wings on the fire slathered in Tabasco Chipotle that were really good too.  Of course, just Johnny'ed up hunks of venison is always a treat.

HOBO Pizzas (use a pie iron spray with pam both sides, two pieces white bread on both sides, add sauce and cheese and whatever you like on a pizza, cooked or cured ingredients and close the pie iron up and cook over the flame until toasted bread) Comes out like a ghetto pizza pocket. Best ever

HOBO Tacos (use a pie iron spray with pam, add large flour tortilla and put in some cooked taco meat, and whatever else you like. Fold the 4 edges together and close up the pie iron and cook) Comes out like something that Taco Bell would make.

Baggie Omelets (beat a bunch of eggs and separate them into large sturdy freezer bags, add cheese to mix. Then let the people add whatever they like, ham, onion, mushrooms ect.) then get a pot to a rolling boil and add the bag and cook until eggs are firm. Remove from bag and you have an "omelet". Ghetto sous vide.

Banana Boats (with foil make a bowl, cut a banana length wise, add marshmallows and Reeses Cups in the center, close the foil up and cook over fire) Eat with fork.

Best dessert Ever-use pie iron, two pieces of white bread buttered with a sprinkle of sugar facing out to the iron, then pick huckleberries (it helps when it's pitch black out and you've been drinking) add mascarpone (it was going to go bad in my fridge so I packed it for camping, don't judge me), vanilla (I was camping with a bunch of girls it wasn't mine, don't judge me), and some sugar to the center. Close pie iron and cook over fire until the outside is golden brown and the sugar has caramelized.  You could just as easily make mascarpone and huckleberry stuffed French toast in the morning.

My buddy and I did prime rib once while car camping. Wrapped it in foil, had a feeder fire going to just use coals to cook it evenly, used heavy duty gloves to rotate it. I didn't mess around, I had a tiny cheap old meat thermometer and made sure we didn't undercook or over cook it. There was some one upmanship going on in that group of friends.

Crawfish boil while backpacking is probably my favorite. Have a few collapsible crawfish trap I got from Trapper Arne. It's really light. Catch 'em in high elevation lakes during the night. Wake up and boil em and I bring some old bay in a spice missile.

Most of these are very kid friendly and keeps them entertained and involved.

I guess I'm the odd guy out (it's a YAR thing ). I like to do Dill crusted pork tenderloins or Rosemary crusted rack of Lamb or when I can find them is Long Island Duck breast with a lemon garlic dressing.  This is what I serve at elk camp when it's my turn to cook.

Breakfast bowl....diced up potatoes, dozen eggs, sausage, thick cut bacon, anything else I want to add, and finally  cheese melted on top

I guess I should have asked a clarifying question before I answered.
What kind of "camping" are we talking about?

Car camping?
Backpacking?
Hunting camp?

My answers were all car camping answers.

Never had that, Mag? It's a sweet brown bread and usually served with beans.
