40 yrds observatory bull took almost 2 weeks of grinding . First archery elk. Called in from 600 yrds .
Great job, Scottcrb!  I spent 8 days in Observatory for a bull, but couldn't get it done. When did you get that bull?
I got him Wednesday and my partner shot a 6x6 on Thursday.

That's why it's good to hunt to the last day! Good for you both!

Thanks pygmy. If it was like this year again I would only hunt the last week.

Observatory Archey 9/21. Hard season with intense highs and lows. Hats off to ScottCRB for an amazing calling job to bring this bull from great distance. My first archery kill and first branch bull.

Mfowl, are you the one I talked to while you were cleaning it by the creek? I was in a yellow side by side.

If I only could have predicted the weather when I requested time off for the hunt!
They finally started bugling, huh? Glad to see such nice bulls taken by archers!

 :yike: nice ones
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
