Late season Palouse River Whity
« on: November 12, 2017, 05:32:55 AM »
As much as I hate to tag out on the first day of the late hunt I couldn't resist this guy. He had run off another buck and was standing guard over a doe and I decided my season was over. I believe I saw this dude during the general season on the neighboring property. Not 100 % sure but I watched a bedded buck with dark antlers and he was in the same general area. Anyways, I put the old Kuiu pack to good use. Big props to them, I love the way you can pack meat between the bag and the frame and I recommend it. Also got to bloody my new rifle I had built off of an old 700 stw I had that wouldn't shoot. It's now a 300 RUM I built for elk that throws 200 grn accubonds a touch over 3200 fps. This deer dropped in it's tracks. Thanks for looking. Hope you all had or are having a safe, enjoyable season

Nice buck.  I love that permit.  I also got to use my Kuiu Ultra pack three weeks ago.  They do work great.  Congrats!

Good looking buck.

Looks like a hefty pack out.
