Pressure signs? I'm new to reloading

I've have shot factory ammunition where the primers looks just like this -- slight little crater edge, flat primer, but still some curse near the edge.

Here's what I came up with from hodgdon powders website,
I don't think your at max,or at 2726 ftps ,I use this for a lot of reloading cause I refuse to buy reloading manuals.It didn't have accubonds as bullet option ,but had 180 sp,anyway I will hit you with a pic and link to website for future .

Some primers are softer than others. I see no ejector marks. Still just fine imo. If you keep going just do so slowly. 1%increments. When you see a shiny spot or bolt lift gets stiff stop and back off a bit.

24" barrel?  I'd say you are approaching max.  Probably can't go much if any more powder.

BTW - I ran that load thru Quickload and it came up with 2,748 fps (from 24" barrel) at a pressure of 59,380 psi.

Without knowing the exact H20 capacity of your case and OAL, it is more of a guess, but I thru in the default H20 capacity and standard OAL of 3.34"

1:10 twist, 24" benchmark, shooting a model 70.
WLR primers
.020" from the lands
The COAL is longer than standard because the ABs are like spears...longer bullets, but still fit in my mag.

Nosler claims 56.5g is max load with IMR4350 (using Nosler cases); I saw IMR's website claims the same max side w/Winchester cases.

I figured I was getting close and was going to try a couple more loads above 55.5g.  I think 2,750 ftps is the standard velocity for 30-06/180g.

I'm not really chasing velocity but would like to get the fastest 'sweet spot'.

I have fired brass from Hornady factory ammo that is a light slow load which displays the same characteristics--flattened primer and slight edge around the firing pin mark.

Ya I'm kinda new to reloading also so I'm no expert ,but have been using a lot of data from powder sites .so may be wrong on anything so that doesn't help.Goodluck,but that primer looks fine to me ,happy reloading.

Primers really aren’t a reliable indicator of too much pressure. I'd say you're fine just based on your velocity and that your powder charge isn't over book max. The books are conservative with 30/06 data anyway, so you should be able to go right up to the max charge shown in your book without any issues.

When your primer is stuck to the bolt, I back off a bit.. lol I always load moderate loads in rifles as they seem to be more accurate?

I've heard many people say the mid range tends to be more consistent as well.

I shot a ladder in the 54.0-55.0 range which produced a spread of 18 ftps.  Velocities were 2650, 2650, 2648, 2646, 2660, 2668.  I bet that spread could drop somewhere in this range.
