Really neat find, I,m guessing 1950,s :dunno:. In all my years of wandering the Methow I have found a lot of old cans and bottles but never a Rainier bottle, I have found  Rainier cans but no bottles. About 20 years ago I came across a half buried, half rusted out old lunch box that had 2 unopened Lucky Lager bottles, an old fork and spoon and salt and pepper shakers but no sandwich :bash: :chuckle:, my dad said the whole set up looked to be from the 50,s. We were about 5 miles from any kind of road and the weird thing is about 4 years later my partner found an old rusted Colt Revolver that he took in and had it cleaned up, it ended up being from the early 1900,s I believe, he found it about 10 feet from where I found the lunch box.

I was wondering how old it was.  I'm 53, and only remember the longer neck ones. Speaking of that, does anyone remember that after drinking one you could fill the empty half full with water and with an open hand, palm slap the top of the bottle and make a perfect circle of the glass break off the bottom?

Probably some oldtimer’s tree stand pee bottle,

Dare you to drink it!

LOL

At this point, you probably couldn't tell if it was 30 year old pee or 30 year old Vitamin R.

The bottles with the longer necks were sold in stores and the stubbys were sold exclusively in taverns. I know that because my dad used to buy his weekend case of beer after work on Friday night at the Cozy Tavern on Hewitt Ave in Everett. He was still getting those stubby bottles at least through the mix 80s.  My guess is that bottle was possibly one out of a case of beer purchased at a tavern.

I googled Rainer bottles, and that ones does not come up, it’s from an alien brewery. :chuckle:

Don't drink it. Rusted caps won't do anything positive to your digestion.
