I had the colockum archery quality bull tag last year.  Saw a ton of bulls, it just didn't work out for one reason or another.  I wasn't alone.  I think half of the guys with the tag ate the tags.  I know of two other guys that had the tag and saw bulls as well but just didn't get it done.

You could always skip hunting this year, save your money, and hunt out of state next year. The rest of us who hunt WA appreciate fewer hunters during any season.

You know what did it for me?

There are more bulls shot north of Coeur d'Alene than the whole eastside of the cascades combined.

I don't know how many September's I will get to hunt so I am going to give myself the best odds I can.

Why is it so many feel the number of dishonest big game hunters in WA. lie on their harvest reporting?

Why if the W.D.F.W wants to increase ungulate populations in this state do they put units with very poor harvest rates in any elk or any deer hunts?

I was 0-6 in Washington, with 2 opportunities.  Last year was my first year in Idaho and I popped my cherry.

Hmmm I’m 3-1. Wife is 3-0. I’ve lost count with opportunities. Plus ours have all been westside. So yea their branched bulls. Have fun in Idaho.

Are you hunting in 506?  I understand the bulls are thick in there.

Probably not going to see an answer to this unless you send him a PM.

That's impossible wolves have decreased Idaho's elk population to a point where they are almost extinct.

And your wrong about the bull harvest.. but its close.

I couldn't even start to imagine what the Lolo was like with 17k elk in there  :yike:

2016
WDFW Districts  1-8                        1244 Bulls
IDFG Elk unit     1,2,3,4,4A              1423 Bulls

It's possible that I fat fingered a number though.
