Haven't heard a whole lot of recent reports but weather is getting colder over there and rut is gonna be kicking in. Small bucks already are, mature bucks are about a week away. Headed over on the 9th myself.

Pretty wet here in the se corner. Got on some antelope this afternoon but pulled out before the roads turned to gumbo.

I’m watching the thermometer. The mercury is disappearing this week.

The rut is picking up, saw quite a bit of activity last weekend compared to the prior. Supposed to get real cold the next 3 or 4 days.

I just got back from central MT. It dropped down to 7 degrees Wed/Thurs. Chase phase is on. I saw several nice bucks and one toad chasing a doe but she waned nothing to do with him.
Good luck!

In eastern MT as we speak. It’s horrible....and I’m serious. The rut is NOT on. Windy and snowing last three days. Seen only does on public land. One bruiser buck yesterday am on private. I have a mulie doe tag as well. Usually they are a dime a dozen, but you can barely fine one of those. This is the worse year i’ve hunted here. This is not that much better than WA hunting🤷🏻♂️ Still have three days left, so we’ll see what happens. The water is heating up for the expensive tag soup.

Expensive tag soup for me. Decided to pull out a day early and head for home. Saw a few decent bucks but the plan never came together. Good luck to everybody.
