Q pellet stove
« on: January 26, 2019, 10:38:19 AM »
Picked up one of these at the sportsman show yesterday. Looks pretty cool. Last year it rained pretty good and our wood stove filled with water. Any body have any experience with these? Can wait to use. Supposed to be 3-4 hour burn time.

Does that throw enough heat off to heat a whole wall tent? If so that’s pretty cool.

From what I have read it's more than enough heat

I bought one too. Hoping it heats the tent. Taking the cylinder stove as back up. If this works the cylinder is going up for sale.

I used one of those diesel burners this year in low 28-35 degree weather in Idaho and if I remember right it put out about the same btu as these stoves...should heat it just fine...I may come home with one tomorrow also

I talked with the guy today he said a bag of pellets only lasts like 6 hours burn time. I would have to bring a lot of pellets

Took it to Montana last week. My stove jack is in the side of the tent. This unit was a little tall but I made it work. I couldn’t get it to burn all night long without messing with it. It didn’t continue to feed pellets to the fire.

I monkeyed with it three nights and then just swapped back out to the trusty cylinder stove.
