I have the 40mm VX-2 3-9 on my 300 wby.  Nothing but good results so far.  Sighted it in 4 years ago, haven't had to make an adjustment since.  Usually put a 3-shot group down range at the end of every hunting season just to be sure.   Very consistant!  :)

I don't believe I'll ever by another scope/bino that doesn't have a life-time warrantee.

Are you suggesting that Nikon doesn't have a lifetime warrantee? :dunno:

Nikon does indeed have a life-time warranty on their scopes.

Having a life-time warranty just gives me the reassurance that if I break it, they'll replace it...No questions asked.

All good....I however like Burris Signature or Fullfield.

Well I purchased a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42.  It was by far the best looking scope that I looked through in the price range.  I got a smoking deal with it on clearance and also a 20% coupon on top of that.  I plan on taking it out tomorrow but I am really happy so far we will see if that continues after I shoot with it.

If you were to go out and buy a new scope for a 30-06 in the 200-350 price range what would you buy and why?

You have gotten a lot of answers so far, but no one has bothered to ask what type of hunt you are going to use it for?   :dunno:

Leupold or Burris is what mine wear, but I'm open to Nikon and Bushnell in that price range.
