This ewe was actually shot last year, but I forgot to post.

2018 Bighorn sheep (ewe) hunt, mount Clemens, WA. Definitely the toughest hunt I have ever done. I was lucky enough to draw one of the 25 tags in the state. Spent 3 hours climbing the mountain, 280 yard shot from a rock cliff, overlooking the canyon, steep, rocky, and a little scary( gave me shaky legs). Once I had the sheep down, it took me four hours to get to it due to the rough terrain. Shot it at 10:00 am, made it to the animal at 2:00 pm, took an hour to drag it down the rock slide, another hour to skin, cape and hang it in a tree. Headed down the canyon at 4pm, finally made it to the hi way 410, right at dark, no flashlight, so I was sweating it whether I would have to spend the night on the mountain, alone. Steve found me on the road and picked me up, I was exhausted, out of water, and was to busy to eat any of my lunch during the day. Strange country, nothing but game trails, no roads, half of the time I had to fight my way through the brush. Thank God I made it out alive and not injured. Steve and I hiked back up the bottom of the canyon (Mystere), the next day, one and a half miles, to retrieve the meat. It was sure nice having him along to help get the job done. It's always good to abuse your friends, right? He'll probably think twice about going along with me again.  So thankful for a successful hunt, a good friend to help, and my health. Not sure if I will ever do this again. The morning we headed up to pack out the meat, there was a ram and a ewe, right above where we parked the truck, would have been way too easy?
