Congratulations, that is a beauty, its hard to hold out. The rut is a special time of year to hunt, its hard to hold out if you never have hunted the rut, I know it was for me years ago when I had a special tag..  That is a old warrior buck..

Well congrats on a fine buck. This unit is a mere shadow of what it used to be. About 5 yrs ago an older gentleman and his grandson both drew tags the same year there. The grandpa shot a 29" and the grandson shot a 31". I saw both at my friends taxidermist shop and they were great bucks.

from the number of deer we seen i figured it was about 20 percent of what it was in 2015, we talked to another tag holder and he said it was closer to 30 percent and he had some pretty good harvest data to back  those number up.

Great buck Sir ....And your percentages are right in line with ours also over the last 20-30 years, we have it at between 25-30 percent, NOW, going back to the herd back in the 50,s and 60,s is another set of numbers, if using those its around 5-10 percent of what it was, for every hundred deer we seen then we are seeing 5-10 now. Once again beautiful buck T-ROY, thats an animal to be very proud of
