what do you make of this?
« on: February 16, 2020, 08:32:14 AM »
I'm almost positive they are dogs. It's just weird to see them out running in the timber well after dark a long ways and across a river from any house. It's also kind of weird that they were 3 minutes apart. Sorry for the crappy pictures but it's a cheep trail camera and I think they were moving pretty quick since it was on three shot burst and only got one pic of each. This is near Granite Falls.

Yeah, I'm just wondering what they are doing well after dark miles from a house across a flooded river. I wonder if someone dropped them off or if they are off on their own chasing deer. And it's weird they are 3 minutes apart and not running together.

That second pic doesn't look like a dog to me... maybe the photo is playing tricks on me but it has a cat look to it. :twocents:

It's such a crappy picture it's hard to tell. When I first looked at it on my card reader I thought it was a cougar. But once I got it on my computer I realized how unidentifiable it was and since it was only 3 minutes after a dog I just figured it was another dog. Maybe it's a kitty looking to eat the dog. 🤷‍♂️

It looks like a tawny pitbull to me, the size and shape are wrong for being a cat when comparing to the first dog, which looks like a fat lab to me.

I have no clue what kind of animal they are. The first one looked like warthog with tusks and the second looked like a baby elephant when I zoomed in  :dunno:

The first one looks like a dog caring a dropped deer antler.
The 2ns looks like a cougar to me around the tail. :dunno:

I think domestic dogs, looks like a collar on the first one.  Did you have any deer pix before them?  Even days before.  You'd be surprised how far dogs will travel while running deer.

If they're not tusks, they're eyes.  I'm going with cat.  In the first pic, the curl at the tip of the tail is all cat.  Never seen a dog's tail curl like that.
