ID 2019 Backcountry Buck
« on: March 15, 2020, 10:01:42 PM »
Hunted the ID general season last year and came away with a decent buck after many miles of hiking.  Another great backcountry adventure.  Best to all in 2020.

I like the trick with your shooting sticks, propping up the buck's head.  Don't know why that never occurred to me!  Nice buck, and seems like an awesome hunt in some very steep country.  Were you solo?

Yes I was solo for about 8 days on this hunt during the general season.

Fantastic, well done.

What shelter is that?

You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.

It’s a Oware Pyramid tarp that I modified by sewing in a custom peak vent and a Seek Outside stove jack.
