South Shore Chelan Goat
« on: November 23, 2020, 09:43:00 AM »
My Brother drew the south shore chelan goat tag after 21 yrs of applying.  Everything I have read about goat hunting talks about how demanding it is... they arent kidding. I think it is a young mans game and we arent getting younger.  :chuckle: My brother lives in Chelan so had time and availability without traveling, camping etc.  After lots of looking and several attempts he closed the deal yesterday afternoon.  Packing meat out in the dark down near vertical hillsides isnt my favorite.  A huge thank you to the two friends from Chelan who supplied the boats and time, plus a couple of others who dedicated time when I wasnt available.  Also give some thanks to a couple of HuntWa members who have had the tag in the past and provided insight.  This Billy was just shy of 9 3/4 inches.

Sweet.

I always thought hunting goats from a boat would be a blast. We'll, at least spotting them from a boat anyway.

Great job Mr Fletch.   Beautiful billy and for the most part, a Wa goat hunt most often turns into a tough guy hunt :yike:
