WTB: 21-23 ft aluminum boat
« on: February 11, 2021, 07:54:43 AM »
Long shot but after 6 months of looking for a decent boat I'm throwing it out here in case someone has been tempted but hasn't put it on the market yet.  Or maybe has a fishing buddy thinking about getting rid of one?

Here's kind of the Must's for me:

21-23ft
Soft or rigid top (no hard tops)
Offshore bracket
At least 150HP, prefer 200HP and less than 300 hrs
Prop, no jets
Or sleds

If you have or hear of anything please let me know.   We can make it an easy cash transaction if preferred.   Thanks for looking.

Thanks TBar, I actually looked at that boat a week ago and I have been to Bremerton (Defiance Marine) checking out the Allied Boats.  I also had new boats priced out in North River, Duckworth and Raider.   This particular boat, I would be paying for a lot of extras (Tower, GPS) I don't need but I may have to just suck it up.

You might be able to sell the tower and other things you don't need.  I would take the autopilot off your hands.   :chuckle:

Used boats are tough because you usually can't find exactly what you are looking for.

You will love the auto pilot after a couple trips out with it.  It's a game changer on long runs.

Hey BowHunter, the short answer is yes, I would have on built.   I actually have a change order quote from North River that I need to decide on by March 1st.   I was really hoping to find a nice used one before dropping that much money on a brand new boat.

Check out Edge Marine if you are going to have one built. They are similar price to NR but a 96" bottom width and a 60 degree bow entry. Rides like a glass boat and very stable with people walking around the deck. I bought mine a few years ago through Y Marina in Coos Bay.

If you order new you shouldn't be locked into all the extras.

Have you priced out Hewescraft. .I'm on my second hewes and no complaints.

Used boats these days are going for prices just below new...so I wouldn't hesitate to go new.
