She gets it from her mother.  We all just follow my wife's lead.

Absolutely, enjoy Rainier, my daughter played and eventualy got a full ride to the U of Hawaii and the U.W, she ended up in Hawaii and got island fever, yep its real, she couldn't handle being on an "island", she could drive an hour every way and that was it, she couldn't go any farther, it messed with her big time. She ended up coming back and playing for U.W, studied international law, was going to work for the FBI, years of education(all payed for by volleyball :chuckle:) and she ended up a 5th grade teacher in Kentucky :chuckle:, she got out of it because of all the dang politics now in school, she is now a home schooler in Idaho, things end up as you least expect them . In high school she was one of the best outside hitters in the country, she pursued it as far as it would take her. Good luck to your daughter, pursue life

So life is crazy hectic.

Youngest daughter played number one seed at state, lost 3 sets to 1.  Next match was against the number 8 seed and they lost 3 sets to none.  That freed up my Saturday to set up camp.

Sunday we saws tons of deer, lots of bucks and few really nice bucks.  We saw "Elliots" grandfather. Huge buck with a huge left antler.  Right was broken off 6" up.  He was a masher and we tried to get my oldest daughter a shot but it didn't work  out.

Today we only had a half a day to hunt so we could get back for youngest daughters awards banquet.

Again we saw tons of deer and chased a couple of nice bucks.  Archery is a tough go but we are having a blast.  I am not even carrying my bow. It is all about her.  I could have had one but I'll worry about that after/if she tags out.  She passed a really nice three point.  We are seeing much nicer deer so she is willing to pass the easy shots on lesser deer.  We have a ton of time left and it should only get better.

Bummer your daughters team had an early exit from state, kind of a bittersweet reason to get to spend more time hunting. Hope that's the last of the disappointments until you both pack out your 180" bucks.

If I pretend to be a kid (I do act like one), will you set me up, neighbor? There's bourbon and cigars in it for you!  :chuckle:

Pass was closed for a few yesterday but once we got through we got to the unit and six minutes in a deer walked right down the hill just off the road and started eating twenty yards from us. She couldn’t pass it up. She is in the hat that matches mine.  19 years old, her eighth deer and fourth one with a bow. Broken off time and torn ear.

Warrior.
