Usually the difference between Quality and Buck in the same area is dates
The categories can be thought of like this:- General Deer Seasons: available to all hunters with the appropriate license.- Buck Deer Permits: available by drawing to a limited number of applicants. Provide an opportunity to hunt at different times or places than during general season.- Quality Deer Permits: available by drawing to an even more limited number of applicants than Buck permits. Provide an opportunity to hunt at different times or places than during general season.Quality permits are usually the most difficult to draw, and the most valuable. They are intended to provide a quality hunt experience that is limited to a small number of individuals.

Is there any "managed for quality" aspect to those tags, or is it just limiting draw numbers?
