Lodging in Walla Walla?

I’m thinking about getting a hotel in Walla Walla or possibly Dayton for a few days the week of Nov 15th for my deer hunt.  Any decent hunter friendly place or place to avoid? Thanks

Bets Western in Dayton. Haven't stated there in a couple years, but it used to be $159 a night and if you told them you were a hunter, took it down to $99 a night. It's pretty new, and our rooms have always been some of the nicest rooms I've stayed in.

If you are staying in Dayton there are a few options.  In 2019 When I hunted my quality Dayton bull, I stayed in two different places at different times.  If you want to stay somewhere nice, then the Best Western is the place for you.  Really nice hotel and in November they are between seasons so you might get a good rate.  They cater to summer travel and in the winter they are making lots of money on skiers.  But I stayed at the Blue Mt motel in Dayton and would stay there again under the same circumstances.  It is plain jane as they come.  Older building but for a hunter it was ok.  Half the cost of the Best Western and all I cared about was a place to show up in the dark after hunting all day where I could get a shower, get out of the weather, a bed, and a heater.  Like I said, it is half the cost and bearable.  If you have a huge budget and don't care about money, then the Best Western is a no brainer.

Thanks for the info, cheaper the better as long as it’s decent. Just need a place to sleep mostly just don’t want to set up my tent as it would be too far from where I’m planning on hunting

I've got a doe tag in that same timeframe down there. If I end up not filling my general tag in October and hunting the doe Tag i will send ya a message if I see some big bucks running my does around. Haha.

Although I have never stayed at the Best Western . I have stayed at the Blue Mt. Several times . Its been a couple years since ive stayed there but it was/is an old school motor lodge type motel . No frills but clean and the manager (and I hope he still is the manager ) was an 80 year old guy that is kind of a character .Super nice he and liked to B.S. everybody .As mentioned its way cheaper .

I've stayed in the Walla Walla Super 8, the Dayton Best Western, and the Dayton Blue Mtn. All in the last few years.  All are hunter friendly. During the season, hunting dogs, blaze orange, and 5 a.m. hallway bustle is common at all of them.  Three different price points and 3 different levels of accommodations.  Breakfast always starts too late at Best Western and Super 8. No breakfast at Blue Mtn. A bit more accommodating at Super 8 and Best Western for late check outs.

We've stayed at 3-4 other brand-name hotels in WW. Not as full of hunters, but no issues with our guns and dirty boots.

Check out Fire & Irons Brew Pub on Main in Dayton for good eats and beer.
