I’m surprised yours only weighed a few oz more than the factory stock. I didn’t weigh either of my stocks but the gun felt like it weighed a decent amount more after the swap.
I was fortunate with the fit and finish on mine. It’s pretty much perfect. I’m pretty sure the mt trigger guard fit very well. I’ll have to look later this evening, but I don’t think I have that sharp down there from the guard sitting to deep into the stock.
Fun to follow along. Thanks for posting. I did something very similar with a Weatherby Vanguard awhile back. I had pretty much the same experience with the B&C stock. Right away everything looks great, but then you notice little fit issues here and there. Still better than a lot of factory stocks out there. The B&C stocks are very receptive to a little filing and sanding to improve the fit. A little Dremel work and some bedding compound and you may be able to "fix" the offset in the barrel.
