Daughters successful weekend!

My 11 year old daughter had a great couple days hunting 2 states. We started out in Idaho on Friday hunting whitetails. Put in 11.5 miles and ended up sitting edge of a canola field in the evening. Shortly after this buck made his way out of the timber and she made a great shot at 50 yards. Her first buck! The picture of the buck at recovery tells it all. Saturday morning found us in WA for the opener and her with a youth mule deer doe tag in pocket. She made quick work with that and dropped this one in her tracks at 184 yards. This 25 creedmoor os a wicked round. 2 states, 2 deer, less than 14 hours! Couldn’t be more proud of this girl, at 11 she’s killed 4 deer, 1 elk, 5 turkeys!

Very nice. I asked my daughters if they wanted to hunt and they said no. I was hoping they would at least give it a try.

Love seeing this. Awesome. Congratulations to your daughter on her first buck, and two deer in quick succession! Thank you for sharing.

Tell Payton congrats. I love the raw emotion you captured in Idaho. She’ll remember this weekend forever.
