So is multi-season permits just screwing up the draws or what.
I'm assuming that a person can apply for all weapon types.
Put there name in the hat even more than normal.

Just a legit question.

You get the same amount of choices but you can do different weapon types within your apps.

Can I buy apps that are not my weapon type and use point saver option . Without a multi permit.

You don't actually input any hunt choice numbers when you do the points saver option, just check the point saver box.

There is no weapon type choice for application. You have Quality deer applications, Quality elk, Bull elk, buck deer, etc. You only buy/submit one of each, whether you have a multi season tag or not.

Feel like complaining about this is a waste of air but I do wish we knew Colorado results for sure by now. I feel confident my party is going to draw the 3rd season muley hunt we applied for. That said it’s impacting what I want to put in for in WA. I know the odds are next to zilch for quality tags but the what if’s make me nervous. Think it’s obvious if I drew a killer WA tag the CO hunt is out the window. But we won’t know the results for WA before the CO tag surrender deadline. The prospect of giving up 5 years of points there and the fees hurts for sure. Right now I think I’m leaning towards points for qual deer and buck just because of this.

I wish more states followed Nevada’s way of running their draw. Fast, efficient, easy. Heck even WA despite all their flaws, runs a pretty good ship with their draw.

unfortunately that’s the price you pay when you put in for other states. Do one or the other and put in for points or find a hunt that works within your timeframe. Washington does suck but we all know that and there isn’t a thing we can do about it. Here in a the foreseeable future we won’t have many opportunities left in Washington.

I'd go the other way. CO trumps every limited entry tag in WA for number of deer, top end trophy potential, and number of age class bucks on the landscape (though fewer than just a few years ago). For every 170" buck killed in WA there's likely 20 killed in CO. No way I'd skip CO to hunt a WA tag unless I was able to scout up a cranker prior to season :twocents:

That’s a great point. Other than a Montana hunt I did years ago this is my first true out of state hunting experience so there will be a learning curve, but looking forward to dipping our toes in the water and going for it. I guess I say that about WA knowing if I draw it might be the only time I do, plus the added benefits of being able to scout and already knowing the units I apply in very well.

I appreciate the feedback. Makes me feel better about hitting the points option for WA.

I’d still openly apply, not just points option. Wa is so hard to draw anyhow, might as well try. If you did draw both( I did last year), figure out a way to hunt it all! Only so much time in this life
