Agreed, took my kids tonight and my 8 yo caught his first salmon. Fun watching him go from thinking he had a snag to fighting his first little pink.

LOVE IT!

No luck for my son and me. Hit the river at about 4 PM and packed it up at 6:30. He started to lose interest because there weren't a lot of fish and no one was catching. I discovered the suggested spot is actually where I fished the rivers years back for coho with my wife. I got the location back then from this forum. We saw several roil in the murky water so that was fun. I'll keep heading back several times a week until I've managed to land something. Got to see all the anglers along the river as we headed back towards the bridge. Quite the attraction.

About 20 people at my spot last night when I rolled in at 5:30, I left at 7:15 one guy was walking out with 2 pinks, saw 2 pinks caught, one guy lost a solid 20lb king, I lost one and missed one. Pretty slow but nice to enjoy

Is the puyallup accessible by boat at all, or is it walk in only?
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

You can enter the river from the salt, or launch your boat under the 11th street bridge…most don’t know about it.

Been using that ramp for a looooong time, with almost zero competition. ;)

And no, I’m not at all worried about word getting out!

Fishing was good this morning.  More coho showing up and an occasional chinook being landed.  Lots of pinks.
