Youth opener
« on: September 12, 2023, 06:58:34 AM »
That time of year is upon us. I'd like to reach out again to anyone desiring to take out a youth and doesn't have a dog. Past few seasons have been awesome with great people and opportunity. Der Panz said he will be available Saturday morning at Scatter Creek and is excited to go.

I've taken a ton of my kids and their friends, and now nephews and their friends out for youth seasons the last 1o years.  The forecast is calling for upper 80's in the Palouse, scablands and basin which is the warmest I can remember.  Watch the out of shape dogs for rapid breathing and keep an eyes and ears open for snakes.

Never been pheasant hunting myself but my boys would love to go. Just show up with them or do I need to sign up somewhere. They just have a single shot 20 gauge.

No sign up needed. Just their licensing, and a bit of gun safety and practice under their wings. PM me if you are interested.

Another great opener with awesome company. Der Panz got show off his stuff with 4 solid points and 2 skittish flushes. Thanks again to all adults willing to challenge kids with something new in our outdoors

Hello there !! Im 31 and live in anacortes. I was wondering if you only help out kids with no waterfowl experience? I would love to get out there and learn to hunt birds . I do deer hunt and have a 12 gauge but don’t know anyone who hunts birds. I also have my hunters safety

I do take many folks out for the general waterfowl season to show the bounty we have if the effort is put forth. The youth seasons are great because I feel I am giving back a bit of the multitudes given to me. Upland is my passion and is mostly an endeavor of solitude

Kids did better today! Seven in the bag and lots that got away! The youth weekend is by far my favorite for west side pheasants.
